Covid-organic is the name of the herbal medicine from the island of Madagascar,which has been claimed by President Rajoelina to be the cure discovered by the Malagasy Institute Of Applied Research.
Rajoelina claims the bitter mixture can both cures and prevents the Coronavirus pandemic and it has been distributed to school children.This herbs is a decoction of various ingredients know to cure malaria and typhoid fever.
The primary ingredient is artemisia,an indigenous plant from China which was imported to Madagascar in the 1970's,and now widely grown on the island. It is like chloroquine touted by the US president, Donald Trump as COVID-19 treatment
Another active treatment compound is artemisinin- a recognised antimalarial treatment.
Although,the World Health Organisation ( WHO) has warned against the use of this ingredients because of their short-lived but we can take away the fact that it has cure many people with the virus in the state.
Elsewhere, a claim pending testing has been made in Ghana where a mixture pineapple,lemon and ginger root has been clain to be good cure for the virus.
