No new covid-19 related casualty recorded yesterday - NCDC

The Nigerian Center for Disease Control, NCDC, has announced that no Covid-19 related death was recorded on Saturday, 5th December 2021.

The nation's disease control agency stated this on Sunday adding that 52 new cases of the virus was recorded yesterday.

According to the agency, Lagos which is the country's epicenter of the disease on Saturday recorded 25 new cases bringing the total in the state to 78,377.

Other states that recorded new cases on Saturday are: Oyo State (11), FCT (6), Kwara (3), Rivers (3), Bauchi (2), Delta (2), Kano State (1) and Ogun State (1).

While the total number of cases across the country now stands at 214,567, the number of deaths and discharged are 2,980 and 207,427 respectively with 4,160 cases currently active.
