The solid state of stool must be moderate to be easily passed out, that is, it must not be too solid to be pushed out neither must it be too loose or watery.

Either of the two conditions, fiber helps to transform stool into movable form: if you have loose, watery stools, fiber helps to absorbs the water then solidifies the stool; If too bulky and strong, It help to release water to soften the stool.

Fiber is a very used nutrient in diet. Apart from normalising movement in the bowel, fiber act as an anti-oxidant, lowers cholesterol level and controls blood sugar.
