Covid-19: 4 deaths and 341 cases recorded in nigeria on Friday

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, on Saturday, February 27, recorded a whopping 4 deaths to the deadly Coronavirus as new 341 cases were confirmed.

The agency on Sunday made this known on its official Twitter handle.

Both confirmed cases and deaths on Saturday were very low with 341 and 4 cases respectively, compared to previous day where 600 cases and 11 deaths were recorded.

According to NCDC, Lagos State which remains the disease epicentre in the country recorded 96 cases, followed by Rivers State, Kaduna State, Edo State, Osun State and Akwa-Ibom State where 41, 33, 21, 20, and 17 cases were recorded respectively.

Also, the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, saw 17 new cases followed by other states including Ondo, 15; Gombe, 11; Kano, 11; Imo, 10; Ekiti, 9; Kebbi, 9; Kwara, 8; Oyo, 8; Borno, 6; Enugu, 6; Plateau, 3 with Delta State, Niger State and Ogun State, all of which have 1 case each.

While the total cases in the country now stands at 155,417, the number of discharged persons is now 133,4256 after discharging 712 people yesterday.

The discharge includes 319 community recoveries in Lagos State, 121 in Kaduna State and 38 in Rivers State.

Yesterday, 4 people were lost to the disease making 1,905 people to have been lost to the virus.
