The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has on Friday recorded new 1,483 cases across 22 states and the Federal Capital Territory(FCT).
Lagos State which has been the hotspot for the disease, for the first time in many months recorded no case.
According to the centre, 545 cases were recorded in Kaduna State followed by the FCT which has been the most affected only behind Lagos.
On Friday, 235 new case were recorded in the Federal Capital Territory and 128 in Plateau State.
Other states where the virus was recorded includes Nasarawa, 80; Oyo, 72; Delta, 65; Rivers, 64; Kano 46; Ogun, 46; Bayelsa 30; Gombe, 30; Abia, 28; Osun 27; Edo 25; Ondo 14; Sokoto, 12; Zamfara 10; Bauchi 8; Imo, 5; Jigawa, 4; Ekiti, 4; Borno, 4 and Niger State with 2 cases.
