New 712 Covid-19 cases recorded in Nigeria

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has on Friday reported a reduced new 712 Covid-19 cases as against over 1,000 reported a day before.

The new cases brings the total confirmed cases in the country to 82,747, as the country battles the second wave of the virus.

The country had recorded 1,041 new cases on Thursday as against 1,133 recorded on Wednesday which shows a downward trend of the cases across Nigeria.

Lagos still remains the most hit State which recorded new 388 making the total of 28,192 since the first case was recorded in February.

77 new cases was recorded in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, making it total of 10,766 in the country's capital.

Other states includes, Kwara with 39; Katsina, 35; Bauchi, 33; Plateau, 22; Ogun, 18; Akwa Ibom, 16; Delta, 13; Kaduna; 12; Osun, 12; Yobe, 11; Sokoto, 10; Kebbi, 8; Enugu, 6; Ondo, 5; Ondo, 3; Niger 2; Kano, 1 and Oyo State with 1 case.

The total number of confirmed cases in the country as at Friday is 82,747 while 4 Covid-19 related deaths was recorded on Christmas day bringing the total number of death to 1,246.

However, total number of 70,239 people have recovered from the virus after 588 patients were discharged on Friday.
