WORLD HEPATITIS DAY

On this day 28th of July,the world marks 'world Hepatitis day'.
Hepatitis is a viral diseases relating to the liver which has no specific cause.
It eats off the liver gradually which could lead to liver cancer.
In Nigeria not less than 30 percent of  the people have this disease but more than 80 percent of them don't know they have it.
This epidermic has five type which are Hepatitis A,B,C,D and E which are infectious and noninfectious.
The infectious which are deadly and have little chance of been cured are C,D and B which is most deadly type and not curable,are more dangerous than HIV and can be contracted through blood,needle,sexual intercourse etc.
While the noninfectious are A and E are curable and less severe than the other three type can be contracted through inadequate immunization as a baby and also through alcoholism,oral,smoking among others.
It has no specific symptom but fatigue,yellow eye and other illnesses are suggested symptoms.
Regular medical check up for early detection is the best when to prevent and treat it.
Also about 80% to 90% of liver cancer patients are diagnosed type B Hepatitis,that is why it is considered major cause of liver cancer.
It is prevalent here in Nigeria that is why we need to observe it properly to reduce it.
