Pay attention to your body in order not to trade money for health

Popular Nigerian health educator and Doctor, Chinonso Egemba, popularly known as Aproko Doctor, has advised that people should always pay attention to their body in order not to beg to trade money for health.

With the rising rate of heart related sickness and death, many health experts and advocates worldwide have called for regular checkup, physical and mental exercise and other cardiovascular activities.

Many, especially in Nigeria get carried away once they are aggrandised or become financially buoyant to the extent of eating gluttonously and neglecting exercising.

In fact, it is a common belief among many Nigerians that increased in body mass, size and stomach is a sign of eating well and being rich.

Correcting this notion, the Doctor tweeted, "you sacrifice your health for money, you'd sacrifice that money for health later.

"Pay attention to your body. Check your blood pressure. Exercise... drink adequate water. Do your checks."

  • Drinking water first thing every morning
  • Exercising regularly
  • Eating vegetables and fruits 
  • Avoiding junks
  • Avoiding/minimising calories
  • Eating home made food
  • Avoiding foods with preservatives and additives
  • Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption
