Nigeria records new 1585 Covid-19 cases

Nigeria on Saturday recorded new 1,585 Covid-19 cases, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC reported.

This was revealed by the health agency on its official Twitter account on Sunday.

According to the report, 573 new cases were on Saturday recorded in Lagos while 182 were recorded in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) the same day.

Others states where the virus was recorded on Saturday includes Plateau, 162; Gombe, 81; Oyo, 75; Rivers, 68; Sokoto, 58; Ondo, 55; Ogun, 42; Nasarawa, 40; Akwa Ibom, 35; Edo, 31; Kaduna, 27; Anambra, 22; Delta, 19; Kano, 17; Osun, 17; Ebonyi; Katsina, 14; Niger, 14; Bayelsa, 9 EKiti, 9; Borno, 7; Jigawa,5; Abia, 4 and Bauchi with 3 cases.

The total cases across the country since it first cases was discovered in Ogun State in February is now is now 99,063.

Unfortunately eight patients were lost to the virus on Saturday bringing the total Covid-19 related deaths to 1,350.

However, 865 patients were discharged from the centre having tested negative to the virus thrice.
