New 1,430 Covid-19 cases discovered in Nigeria

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has on Monday recorded 1,430 new Covid-19 cases in 18 States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

According to the centre, Lagos State which remains the most affected State in the country, record 744 on Monday.

Plateau and Oyo State both recorded 100 and 77 respectively while the FCT comes fourth with 75 cases.

Other states includes Nasarawa, 74; Katsina, 48; Edo, 42; Kano, 41; Enugu, 37; Rivers, 34; Ogun, 33; Kwara, 32; Niger, 28; Ebonyi, 27; Kaduna 26; Borno, 12; Yobe, 10; Ekiti, 5; and Gombe with a case.

The total confirmed case in the country is now 112,996 while the total of 1507 have been lost to the virus after three deaths were recorded yesterday.

However, 98,359 people have been discharged since the first case was recorded in February last year.
