Nigeria records new 1,145 Covid-19 cases

Nigeria has on Thursday recorded 1,145 new Covid-19 cases, according to Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

The cases which is one of the country's highest to be recorded in a day was recorded across 24 States of names.

Lagos recorded the highest for the day, with 459 cases and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) with 145 cases which was followed by Kaduna State with 138 cases.

Other includes Plateau State, 80; Katsina, 70; Gombe, 52; Niger, 31; Kano, 23; Bayelsa, 21; Bauchi, 18; Ondo, 18; Rivers State, 17; Ogun, 12; Oyo State, 12; Edo, 8; Nasarawa, 8; Ebonyi, 7; Osun, 6; Ekiti, 5; Kebbi, 5; Borno, 4; Jigawa, 3; Akwa Ibom, 2 and Anambra, 1.

This brings the total recorded in the country since the first in February to 76207 while the number Covid-19 related death remains 1201.

However, the total number of people recovered from virus, having tested negative three times to it is 67,110.
