The world wide confirmed cases of COVID-19 now 3.4 million infected persons with over 238,000 death,while about 1.1m have recovered.
The total number of Coronavirus cases as at Sunday 3, May 2020, was 3,356,205;while the number of fatalities stands at 238,730 and the total countries with confirmed case is 215, according to WHO.
The figure may not be accurate due to the lack of accurate data in Africa and some Asian countries.
In coming days,the figure is expected to rise rapidly as some states are experiencing surge in number cases. For instance,80% of the tested sample in Kano State in Nigeria said is positive; also, Afghanistan health minister has raised alarm over the alarming rate of the virus in the country.
With the easing of the lockdown in some countries, especially Africa countries where there may be negligence of social distance rule has called for concern of the possible increase in cases
