Endometriosis:A disease that takes over seven years to be diagnosed.

According to statistics, endometriosis affect 1 in 10 women
worldwide and can cause debilitating pain , extreme heavy periods and infertility. On average,it take 7 years and some months to be diagnosed in the UK alone.

The reason for this, according to one of the UK's leading specialists is the "gender pain gap"-situation wherby women in pain are not taking seriously as men.


Endometriosis

A disorder in which tissue that normally lines the uterus grows outside the uterus.
More than 100 thousand cases per year in Nigeria.
It can take seven and half year to be diagnosed and chronic can last for years or be lifetime.
Common symptoms are pain(pelvic region) before, during and after sexual intercourse and irregular menstruation.
