Firstly breastfeeding is the act of a mother feeding her baby with her breast milk directly from her Udder(Breast) without milk from other source like Cow milk.
The first-few-day-yellowish-scanty milk produced immediately after birth is Colostrum and very rich in all nutrients required by the baby immune system against diseases, abnormalities of the body and for healthy growth of both baby and mother.
It is medically recommended that the mother should feed the baby with her breast milk for at least first four to six months.
Breast milk prevents sudden infant death(SID) of the child and boost the immune system of child and also help a new born digestive tract to develop and prepare itself.
It may also lowers your risk of osteoporosis
The importance's of breast feeding to the nursing mother are as follows:
Breast feeding has 'hormone oxytocin' which help the mother's Uterus return to its pre-pregnancy size, thereby flattening your stomach and may help reduce utero bleeding after birth.
It help the mother burn calories and prevents breast cancer as excessively produced milk in her body is given out through breast feeding thereby may reduce breast and Ovaria Cancer of the mother.
It also help the mother reduces excess weight by burning calories.
You don't need to worry about how your body makes adequate milk to feed your new born baby in as much you are eating a balanced diet.
According to medical experts the body makes an ideal amount of breast milk after birth, first of which is 'Colostrum', and  rich in all balanced diet needed by the baby body.
Once again expert recommend breast milk to your baby exclusively with no formula,no juice and no water for at least six months.
They're at least three best position for breastfeeding of your baby:
The Cradle position, you rest the side of your baby's head in the crook of you elbow with his whole body facing you by positioning the baby belly against your body so he feels supported, your other free arm can be use to support your baby head or neck.

The football position, you lie your baby's back along your forearm to hold your baby like football then supporting his neck and head with your palm,it is a good position for a new small baby or if you are recovery from cyseria and need to protect your belly from the pressure of the weight of the baby.

The last but not the least, the sideline position,it is good for night breastfeeding of the baby,it also works well if you're recovering from Episiotomy and incision to widen the vagina after delivery. In this position you put cloth under you head to be comfortable then smuggle cloth to your baby then use your free hand to lift you breast and nipple into you baby's mouth, once your baby is correctly latch on support your baby's neck and head with your free hand so there is no twisting or straining during nursing.

However, the best position is the position which you and your baby are both comfortable and relax so your don't have to strain to hold the position or keep nursing.
Breastfeeding is the right of the baby and not privilege which the baby is entitled, therefore don't deprive your baby of the breastfeeding.
