COVID-19: No case recorded in Lagos as 520 new cases recorded in other states

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, on Valentine's day recorded 520 COVID-19 cases in the country.


On Sunday, 14 February, 2021, Lagos State which is the country's most affected state, did not record any case after series of high cases in the previous day.

Yesterday, Ondo State accounted 120 cases while Borno, Ebonyi, Benue and Plateau with 41, 37, 33 and 30 cases respectively.

Also, the country's second most affected state, the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, recorded 29 cases which followed by Nasarawa, Ogun, Edo and Osun which all recorded 25, 25, 24 and 24 respectively.

Other states includes Katsina, 22; Kaduna, 21;Niger, 20; Kwara, 14; Ekiti, 13; Yobe, 10; Oyo, 4; 
Bayelsa and Jigawa with single case each.

The total cases in each state as at Sunday is given below:


Yesterday, 429 people were discharged bringing the total number of people discharged in the country to 120,838.

Also, 5 people were yesterday lost to the virus, unfortunately bringing the number of Covid-19 related death to 1,752.
