Covid-19: Nigeria records 1,131 new cases on Wednesday

New 1,131 Covid-19 cases was recorded in Nigeria on Wednesday, 11 February, 2021, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, reported.


According to the centre which made the report on its website and official Twitter account, Lagos which is the country's hotspot for the disease recorded 297 cases while it was followed by the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, which recorded new 194 cases.

Kaduna and Kano which are the two most affected states in the North-West recorded 83 and 59 cases respectively.

Other states includes Oyo State with 58; Taraba, 53; Imo, 52; Osun, 47; 
Plateau, 45; 
Edo, 43; Akwa Ibom, 42; Rivers, 42; 
Ogun, 29; Kwara, 24; Benue, 21; Nasarawa, 16; Ekiti, 7; Bauchi, 6; Delta, 6; Bayelsa, 4;Sokoto, 2 and Gombe State with 1 case.

The total cases for the state are given below:


The total confirmed cases in the country now stands at 142,578 as at 11:57pm on Wednesday 11, February, 2021.

8 people were lost to the virus bringing the total number people to have lost to the virus officially to 1,702.

However,  1192 were discharged yesterday making it 116,947 people to have been discharged across every state in the country.
