Nigeria records 903 Covid-19 cases

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, on Friday recorded new 903 Covid-19 cases across the country as it seems to have entered a second way of the pandemic.

According to the agency, the total number of confirmed cases in the country now stands at 77,933.

Lagos which remains the most hit state, recorded 305 which is followed by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and kaduna with 207 and 179 cases respectively.

Other states with new cases on Saturday are, Plateau, 46; Niger, 43; Adamawa, 26; Sokoto, 18; Rivers, 16; Yobe, 15; Kano, 13, Kaduna, 12; Delta, 10; Edo, 5; Osun, 3; Oyo, 3; Anambra, 2 and Ekiti, 1.

The deaths toll from Covid-19 increase in the


country by 2 from 1216 on Friday to 1218 as at Saturday.

However, total number of people who have recovered from the virus stands at 67,784 leaving 10,149 persons currently with virus.
