The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has reported new 838 Covid-19 cases on Sunday bringing the total confirmed cases in the country to 84,414.
With the daily cases still below 900, the government and general public may need to intensify effort and strict adherence to Covid-19 protocol on the part of the citizens to ensure continuous downward trend.
On Sunday, the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, recorded the highest for the day with 297 cases while 253 cases were recorded in Lagos bringing the total cases in the two states to 11,354 and 28,741 respectively.
Others states where new cases were recorded includes Pllateau, 82; Kaduna, 57; Katsina, 32; Nasarawa, 31; Kano, 25; Gombe, 24; Oyo, 8; Rivers, 8; Zamfara, 5; Ogun, 4; Bauchi 4; Edo, 4; Anambra, 1 and Sokoto with a case.
The death toll arising from Covid-19 in the country becomes 1,254 after 7 patients lost their life to the virus on Sunday.
