Importance of Neem leaves

Neem leaves, popularly known as Dogoyaro both in Yoruba and Hausa language is a member of the mahogany family, Meliaceae. It is today known by the botanic name Azadirachta indica A. Juss. 


In Nigeria, neem leaves is traditionally known to work against various ailments among which are fever, malarial and typhoid.

Most times, the leave is used with palmwine or water to make a decoction depending on the particular ailment to be cured.

Its efficacy is more effective when used with palmwine, but it can also be used with water by those who don't fancy palmwine.

For the treatment of fever, malaria or typhoid; you make a concoction with the liquid mentioned above which could be palmwine or water to wash out the leaves nutrients until everything is extracted and substance turns green.

To use, you take a cup every morning for three days for malarial, fever or typhoid until the symptom is gone. If symptoms persist after three days you may need to consult your doctor.
