Right time for first sex?

Is there a right age to lose virginity? This is a question nobody can answer medically except by some unproven religious belief.

Many young people may be craving for sex at age 18 to 23 due to body system or peers pressure .
Having sex too soon is one of the biggest regret of young people losing virginity,a survey by the British sexual behaviour suggests.
Over thirty percent of woman and twenty-five percents of men in their teens in their 20s admitted was not the right time when they first had sex.
The survey published by BMJ Sexual & Reproductive Health ,get responses of nearly 3000 young people and gives a detailed picture of sexual behaviour in the UK.
The findings showed that nearly 40 percent of young women and 26 percens of young boys did not feel that their first sex had happened at the right time.
When asked in more depth .most said they wished they had waited longer to lose their virginity, while few said they wished to have done it sooner.
Most had had sex by the time they were 18 while half did it while they were turning 17.Nearly a third while turning 16.
The research also investigated the sexual readiness or competence of participants whether they could make an informed decision about first time sex.For example they they had to be sober enough to have consented and should not have been acting on peer pressure.
Around half of the young women and four in ten of the young men who responded failed this measure.
and about one in five women and one in ten men said they and their partners were not equally willing to have sex as at that time, suggesting some felt pressure to have intercourse.
